Review: Board Books for the under 3’s

Board books are designed to take some tough treatment from babies and toddlers. Even chewing them is fun, but cuddling up and reading a board book to this age group is the best fun of all!

This is a cute book, beautifully illustrated from a little bears point of view. His Daddy bear is very soft and furry like a bear and he even has paws like a bear but little bear is still confused about how he knows he is a bear and asks his dad. “How do you know what bears do best?” ‘Give bear hugs’ of course Daddy bear replies!

My First Book of Aussie Animals

This is a ‘lift the flap’ book full of beautiful illustrations of Australian wildlife designed for the child too look and see things on the page. The animal is hidden, so ‘lift the flap’ and see the hidden Aussie animal. Perfect for reading aloud.

Part of a series of ‘lift the flap’ books illus. by Sally Garland. As there is no mention of who wrote the simple text, the illustrations are the focus. ‘At the Shops’ is more interesting than ‘At The Park’ because there are lots of things to see at the shop, ending up at the ice cream fridge!  Also coming out in December ‘At the Pool’.

Mummy! Where are you?
