9 Dreamy Mudrooms

9 Dreamy Mudrooms

Entryway, foyer or mudroom – Jenna Templeton shares ideas on how to make use of this amazing little space that welcomes you as soon as you open your front door.

Having grown up in the Blue Mountains in NSW, I have a soft spot for beautiful cottages and character-filled homes. Watching episodes of Escape to the Country with a nice cup of tea is a favourite pastime too.

So I’ve always loved those quaint mudrooms and foyers, which make for an ideal spot for housing gumboots, handbags, shoes, hats and school backpacks.

The space can also be a nifty spot for other storage that you may not be able to find or make room for in other parts of the house.

Here are some great ideas to get you inspired!

If you don’t have much of an entryway or hallway space for your mudroom, choose a wall nook near the entrance and use a funky hang-it-all to hook bags on. Use a book shelf to house baskets for extra storage. (Image: Inside Out).
