Spread the Word: New Mum’s Jam to Help Sick Kids
A new range of delicious, sweet fruit jams has hit the shelves at Coles to raise funds for the Australian charity, Hospitals United for Sick Kids.
Mum’s Jam: A New Way to Support Hospitals
The new Mum’s Jam, available in raspberry and strawberry, builds on the success of the Mum’s Sause pizza and pasta sauces, which have raised over $3 million for Hospitals United for Sick Kids since 2019.
These jams are made in Australia using locally sourced fruit, with no artificial colours or flavours. They’re available exclusively at Coles supermarkets and Coles Online for $4.00, with 50 cents from each jar going directly to the charity.
Local Impact: Where the Funds Go
The funds will be allocated to a Hospitals United for Sick Kids partner in the same state or territory where the jam is purchased, helping children in hospitals return to the things they love. Some of these partners include:
- The Common Good (The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation) – Queensland
- Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation and John Hunter Children’s Hospital – NSW
- Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation – Western Australia
- Monash Children’s Hospital – Victoria
Other beneficiaries include Canberra Hospital Foundation, Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation in South Australia, and The Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania.
A Delicious Way to Make a Difference
Coles General Manager of Grocery, Leanne White, highlighted the dual focus of the new jam: taste and giving back.
“Coles is excited to launch Mum’s Jam to provide customers with a delicious new spread and the chance to make a difference. Knowing that every purchase helps raise funds for sick kids is something we believe our customers will value.”
The Mum’s range, known for its affordability, quality, and alignment with good causes, continues to resonate with customers. “We hope Mum’s Jam becomes another staple in family kitchens,” White added.
Hospitals United for Sick Kids CEO, Nicky Bowie, expressed gratitude for Coles’ ongoing support.
“We’re thrilled to expand into the spreads aisle, giving shoppers more opportunities to help kids get back to their lives. Every jar sold supports vital pediatric projects and reduces the stress of hospital visits for sick children and their families.”
