Movie Review: Toy Story 4

Toy Story 4

The fourth installment of the Toy Story franchise is still engaging the littlies with all the favourite toys coming to life again in their newest adventure.

Young Bonnie suffers some anxiousness and feels shy amongst the other children as she starts the first day at school at Kindergarten. Woody, worried about her, places a ‘good luck’ spork (spoon/fork) into her back pack, who, surprise surprise, comes to life making her first day much more interesting and thus joining the gang of toys at Bonnie’s home. This early part of the story introduces the new characters before the toys all go with Bonnie on the family’s road trip…then their adventure starts!

Having lost Forky who exits out the RV window, Woody follows and finds his lost friend Bo Peep, in an Antique shop, near the family RV stop along the way. Mayhem follows with Buzz searching for Woody; Woody looking for Forky (the spork) and Gabby Gabby and her gang the Bensons, ganging up on them all! Bonnie’s RV has left without Woody and to reunite with Bonnie, Woody gets some help from his new friends at a nearby carnival where Buzz has become a prize at a stall.

All ends well with Woody deciding to join Bo Peep in her new cause – helping lost toys find their owners.

All the favourite voices are back: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Annie Potts and introducing Tony Hale as Forky.

Rating: G (produced by Walt Disney & Pixar)
