Premium Free-To-Air Channel “10 Shake” Rebrands To The Nickelodeon Channel

Nickelodeon Channel 13 launches on August 1st

Nickelodeon, a popular children’s entertainment brand, is launching a dedicated premium channel on Network 10 in Australia. The rebranding of the existing 10 Shake channel to the Nickelodeon channel will provide free access to a wide range of Nickelodeon content on free-to-air linear television for the first time.

Previously, Nickelodeon content was available through a partnership with Foxtel, a subscription television service provider. However, Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) will now bring Nickelodeon content in-house as part of their extensive content portfolio, which includes the Nickelodeon channel, the BVOD (Broadcaster Video on Demand) service 10 Play, and the SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) service Paramount+.

Starting from August 1st, the Nickelodeon channel will offer a comprehensive program lineup with content for all ages. During the daytime, popular preschool shows like PAW Patrol, Blue’s Clues & You!, Baby Shark’s Big Show!, Santiago Of The Seas, Bubble Guppies, and Blaze and the Monster Machines will be featured. Additionally, new preschool series Bossy Bear and season three of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate will debut on free-to-air television.

In the afternoon, beloved shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, The Thundermans, iCarly, The Casagrandes, and Danger Force will provide comedy and action-adventure entertainment.

The Nickelodeon channel will also introduce new animated comedy series such as Middlemost Post, The Smurfs, Monster High, and Transformers: EarthSpark, making them available on free-to-air television for the first time.

During the evening, the channel will transform into Nick@Nite, offering premium content for mature audiences. This will include shows like The Graham Norton Show, Gogglebox UK, The Middle, and a selection of movies from Paramount’s library, including franchises like Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, and Transformers.

In addition to the Nickelodeon channel, Nickelodeon properties and exclusive first-run titles will continue to be available on Paramount+, their streaming platform. This includes series like iCarly, Big Nate, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, and the upcoming full-length original movie Zoey 102, catering to young adult audiences.
