Win a George the Farmer Book Set for Your School This Children’s Book Week!

Is your child gearing up for Book Week? Children’s Book Week (August 16–23, 2025).

Do they love stories about farming, animals, or where their food comes from? Here’s a great opportunity to get their school, preschool or childcare centre involved in a nationwide giveaway just in time for Children’s Book Week (August 16–23, 2025).

What’s the Prize?

The team behind the popular George the Farmer books has teamed up with Rabobank’s Rabo Community Fund to donate 14-book sets to 72 educational institutions across Australia.

These picture books are proudly Australian-made and help kids understand where their food and fibre come from – all through engaging stories featuring George, Ruby and their farming adventures.

Who Can Enter?

Primary schools, kindergartens, early learning centres, preschools and childcare centres can all apply. Parents are encouraged to let their child’s school know and share the competition link so they don’t miss out.

Why It’s Worth Sharing

Since launching this initiative, Rabobank has donated over 5,700 George the Farmer books to schools around Australia. The books are fun, educational, and often become favourites during Book Week dress-up days. Plus, they come with free videos and STEM-aligned resources available online.

A 2024 survey showed that:

  • 100% of users said the platform helped kids love reading and learning

  • 98% of users said their children learned more about where food and fibre come from

How to Enter:

Entries open Monday, May 12 and close Sunday, June 15, 2025.
You can share the competition with your school or centre using this link:
