Nominations Open for 2025 HESTA Early Childhood Education Awards

Australia’s top early childhood educators are set to be recognised, with nominations now open for the 2025 HESTA Early Childhood Education & Care Awards.

Now in its 11th year, the awards celebrate outstanding educators and carers across three categories: Advancing Pedagogy & Practice, Individual Leadership, and Outstanding Service. Winners will share in a $30,000 prize pool, provided by longtime sponsor ME (a subsidiary of BOQ), to support professional development or workplace initiatives.

Anyone involved in early childhood education can nominate or be nominated, including employers, colleagues, and community members.

HESTA CEO Debby Blakey encouraged participation, highlighting the awards’ role in recognising the profound impact educators have on children and families.

“Nominating an early childhood professional or team is a fantastic way to honour their dedication and contribution,” Ms Blakey said.

BOQ’s Greg Boyle echoed this sentiment, expressing pride in supporting the awards and acknowledging the sector’s role in shaping future generations.

Nominations close at midnight AEST, 15 June 2025, with winners announced at a gala dinner in Perth on 3 October 2025.
