18 Aug Keeping Kids Safe: Campion Education Partners with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation
Campion Education has teamed up with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation to help protect children from violence, trauma, and online harm.
Why child safety matters now more than ever
Six in ten Australian children experience maltreatment, and half of young people report being targeted by hurtful online behaviour. These alarming figures show how urgently children need support to feel safe both offline and online.
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation, established 28 years ago in memory of Alannah and Madeline Mikac, is dedicated to ensuring every child can live a happy and safe life free from violence and trauma. Their Care, Prevention, and Advocacy programs reach thousands of children each year, and this new partnership with Campion Education will extend their impact even further.
Supporting schools, parents, and students
As the nation’s largest education supplier, Campion Education will use its MyConnect2 platform—accessed by more than half a million school staff and students annually—to share the Foundation’s eSmart resources. These digital safety programs empower educators, parents, and students to be smart, safe, and responsible online.
The partnership also includes awareness campaigns, fundraising, volunteering, and direct support for the Foundation’s programs. Importantly, Campion will help distribute vital information to schools and families, ensuring more children benefit from resources that keep them safe where they live, learn, and play.
Helping children in crisis
Beyond online safety, Campion is supporting the Foundation’s Care programs. This includes contributing to Buddy Bags—backpacks filled with essentials like pyjamas, toiletries, books, stationery, and a comforting teddy bear—given to children entering emergency care. These small acts of kindness provide comfort and stability during incredibly difficult times.
Tom Bradley, CEO of Campion Education, said:
“We’re proud to stand alongside the Alannah & Madeline Foundation in sharing their important work with students, parents, and schools. Whether through our digital platforms or our work with educators, we have a unique opportunity to help keep children safe, supported, and informed.”
Sarah Davies AM, CEO of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, added:
“We’re thrilled to have Campion Education on board. Their commitment to child safety aligns perfectly with our mission. Together, we can reach more schools with eSmart programs and provide comfort to children in crisis through initiatives like Buddy Bags.”
Through this partnership, more children across Australia will feel safe, supported, and free to thrive.
