General Comments: Melbourne Montessori School was established in 1974 and has campuses in Caulfield and Brighton.  The Montessori approach provides hands on, challenging educational opportunities for children from toddlers through to adolescents. We understand that every child is different and develops at their own pace and in their own way. All classrooms are prepared with indoor and outdoor purpose-built environments, plus Montessori materials for students relevant to their developmental level. This allows them to cover all the Australian Curriculum but also pursue their passions and begin to take responsibility for their own education. The School follows the National Montessori Curriculum as ratified by ACARA.

Montessori education offers:

  • The opportunity to work at their own pace in a non-competitive environment
  • Holistic and immersive learning experiences based on physical, hands-on interactions
  • The opportunity to follow their natural curiosity and learning, both independently and collaboratively
  • Education in the real world for the real world
